Just a quick note to say that my poem, Historical Context, has just been featured on the Kingston University Creative Writers’ Blog – Words, Pauses, Noises.
This is a somewhat delayed reaction, but hopefully they’re right about that better-late-than-never stuff. Last Saturday (July 25th 2015), I was fortunate enough to take part in the launch of Structo‘s 14th issue at The Society Club in London. Apart from a few university publications, this was my first fully-fledged launch party and I couldn’t have asked for a better one. The crowd (including three adorable/entertaining dogs) was just the right size for the venue; the Cypriot beer was tasty; and the readings by Pia Ghosh Roy, Catherine McNamara, and Victoria Briggs were all spot on. So far, I’m about half way through the issue and I’ve particularly enjoyed Jonathan Pinnock’s short story, The Picture of Mrs. Tandogan. If you like Haruki Murakami, you might like it as well. Of course, I wouldn’t mind if you took a minute to read my poem, In Brighton, as well. Remember to purchase your copy at Structo’s site and keep this wonderful publication going.
